The saying goes thus: it's better to be dead than to be alive without a dream.
Dreams vary amongst individuals and the word 'achievement', is a relative term that's often quickly attained by the complacent and often a work in progress(WIP) for the Olliver Twists - who often become a lifetime of success stories by staying hungry and insatiable as they strive to attain greater heights.
'No Dream is inconsequential... It is the fulfilment it brings to you and the solution it provides to others, that matters'
Some individuals will be excited to become teachers, musicians, stylists and others will like to become what is often described as the more serious vocations- doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc.
But the point is every vocation counts, it's better to be a cleaner and be passionate about it than to be a miserable investment banker, because not only will the cleaner render a better service with passion, the opportunities that abound for him/her are limitless. For instance, the little cleaner,as a result of genuine interest in his job, will gradually get innovative and find ways to create a cleaner environment, will be recognized, will be go to person for such issues and at some point life present him with opportunities that will enable him start off his own cleaning outfit.
Having a dream involves a deep understanding of one's self, getting a grasp of your passion and quickly taking bold steps at using that passion to fill a need that world will lend their right hand for.
Many dreams have been crushed on the altar of self doubt, immediate gratification, alluring pay cheques, confusion and indecision, uninformed advice, the love for security, and many more.
Once you develop that self awareness to understand your passion and drive, you are able to conceive the dream and formulate steps at making the dreams real, when you know it's time, don't let let any of the aforementioned deterrent forestall actualization of your dream.
For me, it's WIP and I'm optimistic that I'm headed the right path, If God says go, who else can say no?
