... Your faith then, does not rely on human wisdom but on God's power'
If after careful analysis, it makes logical sense, your faith may just be relying human wisdom. To rely on the spirit, you have to listen and believe. It may not be the most popular choice nor the most logical decision, but you just have to believe in the unseen to bring to a reality the seen.
Which brings us to the 9th verse of 1corin...
... "Eye has not seen
Ear has not heard,
Mind has not conceived,
If eye has seen, ear has heard and mind has conceived, then we would have analysed it to make perfect sense in our own little cubicle. Believe in the unbelievable, believe in the senseless!
For the spirit that dwells in God, and that which we should all strive to have in us, a spirit that will bring solutions that may confound the wise, the learned and the geniuses. It will make no sense to them, because we do not speak in words taught by human wisdom but in words taught by the spirit.
I am reading this verse the 3rd time this week and for the first time I have a deep insight to it.
It is a verse that affects every aspect of a Christian's life. Starting from your firm belief in the trinity to the daily decisions you make, to your long term aspirations and plans.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing..
How do you explain to pagans that there's a Father above? You need the holy spirit, else you are perceived as disillusioned.
How do you explain to people around you that you are quitting your job in which you have towed a brilliant path to start that poultry business that has been revealed to you? You don't need to explain or help them understand, once you are sure of your source, just take a plunge! (it's your life anyway)
How do you explain to your friends that you do not suddenly feel like watching that movie against the plan youhad with them because of a revelation you just saw? Simple, don't explain, just sit in.
In all these scenarios, initially, it may seem like you deserve to own a gorgeous strait jacket but as things unfold, they'll understand.
Believe the inane, Follow the unseen, be ready to walk alone knowing that spiritually you are never alone.
It's simple, believe in the unseen.
