The Beauty of an Unfair Life

I sashayed into the office after going through the checks of the man trap security- bursting with energy, full of life and highly expectant for the day's business, I stepped in, and saw clusters of staff members all looking morose and speaking in low tones... I didn't know what exactly happened, but I was certain it was a sad event. As a green horn in this sector I had never experienced a downsizing event so I didn't have a clue.
It was done, the first quarter had passed and the least performers had been relieved of their jobs. A friend of ours was affected and apparently didn't resume today. Morale was low as grumpy staff all pretended to be busy and endless series of complaints filled the atmosphere.



As I reflected on the happenings, one particular phrase struck me hard which took me to my notepad. It was a cliché but suddenly, it took a new dimension and I wondered what people mean when they say that Life's not fair...

Who is life that is unfair? What about life is unfair? Where do you get to in life that you start to think that life is not fair?
The truth is that when you are sad or it seems that things aren't going your way, you start to term life partial and just like an average person, you develop selective amnesia at the rosy days when you wondered if you were the only one in the world.

When you develop thoughts that life is unfair, remember that you are tending towards pessimism and it's best to just change the thought to "how can I take the gear and stir life in the way I want it to go?"
Don't mope around, moping changes nothing, stay optimistic, go introspective, figure out what's wrong and instinctively you'll start to try to make it right.

You are often a product of your belief system, therefore, if you think that Mr life is negatively biased towards you, then it is or will be. If you think you will come to a point where life will be unfair to you, watch out, you may be approaching that point sooner than planned.

And if you have a religion and believe that there's a most high God like I do, then look unto Him cause He's the ultimate pilot that can land you safe at your desired destination.

When next, you're overwhelmed by negative thoughts and you wanna say Life's unfair, just replace unfair with good... Life's Good (LG).
